GREGORY P. McMAHON is a founding member of the downtown Orlando, Florida law firm of Marcus, McMahon & Myers, P.L. His practice is focused on property and casualty claims, bad-faith coverage disputes, life, health & disability insurance claims and commercial litigation. Mr. McMahon frequently lectures nationally and in Florida on topics involving employee welfare plans/benefits compliance (i.e., COBRA, HIPPA, etc.), bad faith, property & casualty coverage/claims litigation and ERISA litigation.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. McMahon earned his B.S. degree from the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. While at Florida State, he served as President of the Beta Eta Chapter of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Thereafter, he worked as a Registered Representative for Merrill Lynch & Company where he provided financial consulting to business owners and high net-worth individuals. He then attended law school at the Shepard Broad Law Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he served as editor-in-chief of the Nova Law Review, received the West Publishing Award for Scholastic Achievement, and earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude.

Today, in addition to his state court practice, Mr. McMahon routinely practices law in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals-11th Circuit. His professional memberships include the American Bar Association; The Florida Bar (where he served on the Student Education and Admissions Committee to the Florida Bar (1999-2001)); the Orange County Bar Association; the Defense Research Institute; and the Florida Defense Lawyers Association. Outside of the office, Mr. McMahon serves as Vice-President and Director of Legal Affairs for the Global Trade & Commerce Association.

Mr. McMahon lives in Orlando, FL with his wife Lisa, and their daughter, Rachelle.
